Tribute to Mary Helen – Daya, Kim & Family

My Dear Narad,

I am saddened by the news of Mary Helen's passing away.  I heard that she was ill through Joss Brooke & Anita.  I remember Mary Helen as a young, beautiful and quiet person when you came to Singapore many years ago.  She was then taking good care of Shelly, her daughter, who was then a young girl.  You were busy with the orchids.  Many years have passed since then but I still remember all of you when you visited Singapore.  The three of you were the first Aurovilians we came to know in Singapore.

Our deepest condolence & sympathy to you, Shelly and all members of Mary's family.

We are still staying at the same place in Singapore with Kim and 2 grown up daughters.  I did inquire about you and Mary from friends in Auroville.  Please convey this message to Shelly (Chali) in Auroville.  By the way I will be visiting Pondicherry on 18 Feb. 2002 with Kim and Mrs. Sonia Dyne.  I will make it a pint to see Shelly in Auroville although she may not remember us.  But Shelly too s a wonderful girl as a child I remember her beautiful face and smile as a child in the Auroville Brochure.

Do keep in touch and Mary's soul I am sure will be close to the Mother for all that she did as Her devotee.  Do take care of yourself and keep in touch.

Best wishes and regards.

Daya, Kim & family
